He finds joy in running the business, servicing its clients and investors and spotting new opportunities. Prior to setting up Roodhals, Willem was Managing Director at ING Bank, in a career that spanned 17 years and included roles in finance and trading in New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. With Roodhals he finally took to his home country in 2009. Willem earned his masters degree in business and economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam.

Advising corporate clients and executing financing transactions is Bart's main activity. As board member of the company, he also helps run the business. Bart joined ING Bank in 2006 as a trainee and became credit analyst in London soon after. He earned a masters degree in international business administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam with cum laude distinction, specialising in finance and investment. Bart is a CFA charter holder

Eelco puts his experience in financial risk, corporate finance and wealth management at the service of our corporate and real estate clients. Eelco is primarily responsible for origination. Furthermore he is trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals. Eelco has a demonstrated history in the Dutch banking sector. In his 30 year career, he worked at ABN AMRO and Van Lanschot Kempen. He earned a masters degree in law and enjoyed additional executive education at TIAS Business School.

Lending platforms and institutional investors are among Sander's key clients. He began his career at ING Group corporate credit risk management. Following a senior consultant role at Zanders, he set up Bierman Investment & Risk Consultancy in 2013. Sander holds a MSc in business engineering from the University of Groningen.

Boudewijn advises our lending platform and corporate clients and mobilises his vast network of institutional investors. From 1996, he served in a multitude of roles in business development, marketing and communications at large financial institutions in Amsterdam, Luxembourg, London and Frankfurt. Boudewijn earned an MBA in International Financial Services from University of London and is a graduate of the Amsterdam Academy for Banking and Finance.

Chris is responsible for Real Estate transactions at Roodhals. His network and specialism are focused on financing, sales and restructuring of real estate portfolios and developments. Chris started his career in 2010 at Ecorys as a trainee and real estate consultant. In 2014 he founded Voordaen Vastgoed, from where he develops and manages his own properties. Chris is a graduate of the Technical University of Delft with a MSc in real estate management & finance.

Kathleen brings a broad entrepreneurial experience to the table with fast growing companies and companies with a cash need. She puts her experience in a variety of industries into practice within the equity and debt capital markets. Kathleen is an angel investor and a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and leadership teams. She learned how to run a business successfully when running a retail brand in bathroom accessories and when optimising strategies at large Dutch corporates. Kathleen studied Business economics at the UvA where she currently is a lecturer for MBA students. Kathleen is “up close & personal” which means inquisitive and dedicated to get the job done.

Richard leverages his extensive experience in corporate finance to support our corporate clients. As a dedicated originator, Richard is instrumental in identifying opportunities and building strong client relationships. With a proven track record in the Dutch financial sector, Richard spent over two decades at Rabobank, honing his expertise in capital advisory and restructuring. Richard holds a degree in Business Administration and has further enriched his knowledge with executive education programs. His strategic insights and client-focused approach make him a trusted advisor to businesses navigating growth, investment or restructuring challenges.

At Roodhals Maikel focuses on quantitative analysis for corporate finance related engagements. He joined us from FrieslandCampina where he had the role of general accountant for sales entities. Maikel is a graduate of the University of Groningen with a MSc in Finance.

An analyst in corporate finance, Bart has a keen interest in valuation, investments, finance and M&A. He joined us after having completed his MSc in finance & investments from the Erasmus University Rotterdam with cum laude distinction. In 2024 Bart also became a CFA charter holder.

At Roodhals Nick takes responsibility for performing strategic analyses, financial modelling and creating structured insights in order to advise our corporate clients. Through his masters degree in finance & investments at the Rotterdam School of Management, Nick specialises in corporate restructuring and distressed situations. Nick holds a cum-laude bachelor of business administration from the Hotelschool The Hague.

Having graduated from Erasmus University with a MSc in Financial Economics and following an internship at Roodhals, Berzan joined in February 2022 as analyst. Since then, he developed certain skills in corporate finance where he focuses on M&A, debt advisory, capital structuring, and supporting strategic transactions across various sectors. His expertise in financial modelling and market analysis has made him a valuable asset to the team, contributing to the firm's success in private markets.

After graduating from the Erasmus University as a Master of Science in Financial Economics, Rowin joined Roodhals in September 2022. Applying his interests in corporate governance, fintech and behavioural finance, among others, he will complement the team with his strategic analyses and financial modelling. Outside of work Rowin likes to watch and play football with his friends, and he can also be found in the gym.

After finishing his master’s in Financial Economics at the Erasmus School of Economics, Menno started at Roodhals Capital as an analyst in September 2022. Previously, Menno completed a bachelor’s in economics and business economics with a minor in M&A and a major in Financial Economics. As an analyst Menno contributes to Roodhals Capital by writing investor memoranda, doing market research, and creating financial models. Outside of work  Menno has an interest in football, politics, and cooking.

After completing a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master in Finance and Investments at the Erasmus University and an internship at Roodhals, Nina became an analyst. She is most interested in corporate finance, financial modelling, and sustainability. Outside of work, she is an avid hockey player and loves to cook for friends and family. 

Philip joined Roodhals Capital as an analyst in October 2024, following his Master of Science in Management at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He previously obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nyenrode Business Universiteit. In his role as an analyst Philip contributes by leveraging his broader view of business, supported by his background in management and business administration, to conduct market research, develop strategic insights, and create financial analyses. Outside of work, Philip enjoys playing sports such as running, tennis, and golf, and has a passion for travel and exploring new places.

After finishing a Bachelor in Business Administration, Iris completed two masters at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. They include Finance & Investments and Supply Chain Management. Because of her interest in corporate finance, she started at Roodhals in October 2024. In addition, she enjoys spending her free time on and around a football field.

After having completed his BSc in Economics and Business Economics, specialising in International Business Economics with a major in finance, Emile, has joined Roodhals in September 2024 as an intern. Through his previous experience at VDP Corporate Finance, Emile supports the Roodhals team in daily corporate finance objectives. Emile aspires to continue his academic journey at a top business school in the US in a MSc Finance. Outside the work place, Emile enjoys tennis, football, and is a F1 enthusiast.

Before joining Roodhals, Daniëlle enjoyed various senior positions at multinational companies, including Unilever and Okamura, and SME companies such as PointLogic, as well as in government at the Ministery of General Affairs of the Netherlands. At Roodhals Daniëlle bears responsibility for operations, including finance, procurement, budgetting and HR.

With more than 15 years of experience in the financial field, Nathalie plays a key role in the financial administration of Roodhals Capital. As a Finance Officer, she is responsible for carefully checking and processing incoming invoices, drawing up sales invoices, checking the accuracy of the established data in the administration and monitoring budgets. She also assists the financial manager with the preparation of monthly, quarterly reports and annual accounts. Nathalie's extensive experience and detailed approach provide a solid financial foundation and contribute to the strategic growth of our organisation.

While Joris still enjoys his study Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at Leiden University, he joined Roodhals to help manage the ever expanding IT and systems environment.
